Every six months, the Public Safety Director shall inspect every junkyard that is located within the City for which a license has been issued to obtain information with regard as to whether the licensee's business is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. The Public Safety Director shall submit a written report of each such examination to the Auditor.
The Public Safety Director shall, for the purpose of this examination, have free access to the grounds and buildings used in the conduct of the junkyard business by the licensee.
Such inspections may be made at any time, at the option of the Public Safety Director, during the regular work hours of the licensee or within the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
