505.15 PROXIMITY OF ANIMALS TO DWELLING; STOCKYARDS.
   (a)   No person shall permit, maintain or keep any livestock, cattle, horses, ponies, mules, swine, sheep, goats, fowl or other animals and birds, other than domestic pets or animals being processed for slaughter, within 100 feet of any inhabited dwelling within the City. However, this section shall not apply to a bona fide stockyard operation as hereinafter defined.
   (b)   The term "stockyard" when used in subsection (a) hereof, means any place, establishment or facility commonly known as stockyards, conducted or operated for compensation or profit as a public market, consisting of pens or other enclosures and their appurtenances, in which live cattle, sheep, swine, horses, ponies, mules, fowl or goats are received, held or kept for sale or shipment in commerce.
   (c)   No person lawfully maintaining or keeping any animal within the City limits shall permit the feces or other waste to lie open and uncovered for a period of more than five days.

   (d)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
