Before entering upon the duties of the office, and within ten days after receiving notice of appointment, the Town Judge shall be covered in the sum of $2,500 by the blanket bond of the town, conditioned that he or she will truly, faithfully, and fully perform the duties of his or her office, and account for all monies and property belonging to the town which come into his or her hands by virtue of the office. He or she shall file an oath of office with the Town Clerk.
