(A) All appointments to the police force as reserve officers shall be made by the Mayor, subject to approval and consent of the Council, upon the recommendation for appointment by officers of the police force. All reserve officers shall be appointed for a period not to exceed two years, unless completing the basic training program required by MCA § 7-32-214, or otherwise permitted by statute.

(B) The Town Reserve Officer Program shall be administered in accordance with the applicable provisions of MCA §§ 7-32-201 through 7-32-222, and any subsequent amendments thereto.
