Whenever the Town Council shall temporarily close any street or alley, or any portion thereof, for construction or repair, it shall be unlawful for any person other than the contractor or town employees to ride or drive any animal, or operate any vehicle, on the closed portion of the street or alley. It shall also be illegal to interfere with, take down, or remove any of the lights, barricades, guards, or barriers surrounding the closed portion of the street or alley.
