(D) Water service curb cocks shall be of the inverted type (key), Minneapolis pattern, provided with a stop to enable the operator to ascertain whether the cock is full, open, or closed. The top of the cock shall be threaded for attaching the curb box.
(E) In all cases, if meters are placed on pipes connected to boilers or other hot-water apparatus, a relief valve, not less than one-half inch, must be placed between said meter and such boiler, or other hot-water apparatus, to protect the meter from back pressure of steam or hot water.
(F) The water service curb box shall be cast iron, of the two-piece extension pattern, and provided with coupling for screwing onto the curb box. It shall be provided with a one and one-half inch tap using the plug and brass bushing. The location of the curb box shall be designated by the Street, Water, and Sewer Department.
