The financial ability of the owner, lessee or operator notwithstanding, the golf cart must be covered by liability insurance in an amount not less than that provided by Indiana statues for motor vehicles operated on public thoroughfares in the State of Indiana. Written proof of financial responsibility must be available either on the golf cart or carried by the operator at all times.
