All pensions provided for in this subchapter shall be paid by the Treasurer of the Pension Board at his office at the same time and in such installments as the members of the Police Department are paid. All pensions granted and payable out of the Police Pension Fund shall be exempt from seizure or levy upon attachment, execution, supplemental process, and all other process, whether intermediate or final, and shall not be subject to sale, assignment, or transfer by any beneficiary.
