18.06.190: LOT, Z:
A parcel with lot lines that are zig-zagged or jogged, and placed in a series of similarly shaped and/or relatively small lots within a subdivision. Also referred to as a zipper lot, Z lots may be developed with or without zero lot line residences.
Z lot Illustration: Z lots can create more useable side or rear yards and/or allow side or rear windows to capture wider views of the outdoors. In this configuration the wide and shallow back yards (shown by the dashed line) are modified to create more useable, deeper yards (solid lines).
