Notwithstanding the provisions of any uniform or international code adopted by the city, a certificate of occupancy shall be required for all buildings, structures or portions thereof after August 1994, without exception. Any person or entity occupying a building, structure or portions thereof constructed after August 1997, and for which no occupancy permit has been issued, shall be guilty of an infraction and be subjected to a penalty of one hundred dollars ($100.00). Each day of occupancy without a permit shall constitute a separate infraction. (Ord. 717, 2012)
