5.05.050: RECOMMENDATION BY CHIEF OF POLICE:
All applications for licenses or renewals thereof under this chapter, after review by the chief of police or the chief's designee, shall be acted upon by the city clerk in accordance with the recommendation of the chief of police or the chief's designee. If the application is rejected by the city clerk or the clerk's designee, the applicant may, within twenty five (25) days of the denial, request a hearing before the city council to offer evidence why the application should be considered. A majority vote of the governing body is sufficient to issue or deny said applicant a license after said hearing. (Ord. 691, 2010)
