2.08.060: ELECTION OF CITY COUNCIL:
   A.   Size And Term Of Council: The city council shall be four (4) in number, designated by seat in accordance with subsection B of this section and elected at large. Each member shall serve for a term of four (4) years.
   B.   Designation Of Council Seats:
      1.   Prior to the city council election in November 2015, each council seat shall be numbered as allowed by Idaho Code section 50-707. The city clerk shall assign the following numbers to each seat: seat 1, seat 2, seat 3, and seat 4, with seats 1 and 3 being assigned to the council members up for election in November 2015, and seats 2 and 4 being assigned to the council members up for election in November 2017.
      2.   Any candidate seeking election to the city council shall designate the seat sought on the petition for candidacy. A candidate can file for only one council seat. The candidate shall meet all other qualifications for the office of city council member, as required by law.
      3.   Commencing at the general city election to be held in November 2015, seats 1 and 3 shall be the council seats for which city council candidates may file. Commencing at the general city election held in November 2017, seats 2 and 4 shall be the council seats for which city council candidates may file. Henceforth, the odd numbered council seats and the even numbered council seats shall be elected in alternate general city elections in the same rotation pattern. (Ord. 740, 2015)
