§ 72.23 SIGNALS.
   (A)   Signals required. A signal of intention to turn right or left when required must be given continuously during not less than the last 100 feet traveled by the snowmobile before turning within a business or residence district.
   (B)   Signal by hand or arm or signal device. Any stop or turn signal when required shall be given either by means of a hand and arm or by electric turn signal device conforming to the requirements of 625 ILCS 5/1-100 et seq.
   (C)   Method of giving hand and arm signals. All signals required by this chapter shall be given from the left side of the vehicle in the following manner:
      (1)   Left turn: hand and arm extended horizontally;
      (2)   Right turn: hand and arm extended upward; and
      (3)   Stop or decrease of speed: hand and arm extended downward.
