For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning. The word “shall” is always mandatory and not merely directory.
CITY. The City of Chrisman, Illinois.
DIRECTOR OF TRAFFIC. The Chief of Police of the City of Chrisman.
MOTOR VEHICLE. Any vehicle which is self-propelled and designed to travel along the ground and shall include, but is not limited to, automobiles, buses, motor bikes, motorcycles, motor scooters, trucks, tractors, go-carts, golf carts, campers and trailers.
PERSON. Any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization of any kind.
PRIVATE PROPERTY. Any real property within the city which is privately owned and which is not public property, as defined in this chapter.
PUBLIC PROPERTY. Any street, highway or alley which shall include the entire width between the boundary lines of every way publicly maintained for the purposes of vehicular travel, and shall also mean any other publicly owned property or facility.
