Allowable payments to volunteer firefighters include:
A. Payments of money reimbursed for documented expenses; and
B. An allowance, including a stipend or per diem, that may not exceed $3,000 in a calendar year.
C. The allowance or stipend referred to immediately above shall be between $10.00 and $30.00 for each response to a fire call, and between $5.00 and $10.00 for each meeting or training attended, to be determined at the discretion of the fire chief, taking into consideration available budgetary funds.
