2.08.060   Treasurer—Duties—Bond.
   The treasurer shall perform all such duties as are provided in the statutes of the state, and shall furnish to the city a bond in the penal sum of twenty-five thousand dollars with good and sufficient sureties, acceptable to the council, before he or she may take his or her position. The treasurer shall collect all taxes and licenses due the city.
