No person, owner or operator shall operate a snowmobile within the boundaries of the city, except that a snowmobile may take a direct route from the home or business of such person, owner or operator within the city to an area outside of the city limits. The snowmobile shall make a complete stop before entering upon any part of the city streets and the operator shall stop at every intersection and yield the right-of-way to all oncoming traffic or pedestrians.
No snowmobile shall be operated upon a public street when permitted to do so by this chapter, unless equipped with at least one head lamp and one tail lamp, which shall be lighted at all times during such operation and unless equipped with a suitable braking device which may be operated by either hand or foot; provided, further, that no person, owner or operator may operate a snowmobile on Indiana Street or Highway No. 2 except in crossing said streets at ninety-degree angles from the side streets.
