The City Tree Commission shall consist of nine members consisting of seven residents of Ross County, Ohio (at least four of the seven residents must live within the City of Chillicothe), the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Chillicothe, and the Safety- Service Director for the City of Chillicothe. The seven members of the Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor. Appointments to the Commission shall be for a three-year term. Appointments to the Commission will be effective with the January meeting of each year. In the event that a vacancy shall occur during the term of any member, his or her successor shall be appointed for the unexpired portion of said term.
