(a) A school zone shall be designated in the following areas. The school zone speed limit shall be 20 miles per hour and shall be effective on all days that students are required to be present at school, whether for attending classes, registration, testing, sport events, and the like, and shall be in effect between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

(b) Any person, firm, or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects, or refuses to comply with, or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this traffic schedule shall be fined not less than $5 nor more than $200 or each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
