Before July 31, of each year, the Chief of the Chico Community Volunteer Fire Department shall submit to the Mayor a proposed budget for the operation and maintenance of the Volunteer Fire Department, including all proposed revenue and expenditures for the succeeding fiscal year. The Mayor then will accept or amend the recommended budget and present it to the City Council.
