§ 173.08 Appointment of officers
   Appointment of the Chief and other officers of the Community of Chico Volunteer Fire Department shall be as follows:
   (a)   The Chief of the Chico Community Volunteer Fire Department shall be selected by the Volunteer Fire Department members and shall be subject to the approval of the City Council.
   (b)   The candidates for First Assistant Chief, Second Assistant Chief, Secretary/Treasurer, and Captains shall be selected by the Chief of the Volunteer Fire Department and its membership. Candidates shall be subject to the approval of the City Council.
   (c)   All other officers shall be selected by the Chief and membership of the Chico Community Volunteer Fire Department subject to the approval of the City Council.
   (d)   All names of candidates for such offices shall be submitted to the City Council on the first regularly scheduled meeting of the Council in February of each and every year.
