Schedule III. Stop intersections
   The following shall be stop sign controlled street intersections. When the following stop signs have been erected, they shall control traffic at the intersections, and every driver of a vehicle facing such stop signs and approaching the same shall stop at such stop sign or at a clearly marked stop line before entering such intersection except when directed to proceed by a police officer or a traffic-control signal. The driver of a vehicle having so stopped shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles which have entered the intersection from the through highway or from the direction in which the drivers thereon are not required to stop under the provisions of this schedule and which are approaching so closely as to constitute an immediate hazard, but the driver having so yielded may proceed. The drivers of all other vehicles approaching the intersection on the through highway and from the direction in which no stop is required shall yield the right-of-way to the vehicles so proceeding into or across the through highway or into the intersection from the entrance at which drivers are required to stop.
