* Editor's note – On April 22, 1953 (Coun. J. p. 4700) the following ordinance was passed:
   Section 1. The Municipal Code of Chicago is amended by striking the words “department of streets and electricity” wherever the same appear in the said code and the words “department of streets and sanitation” are substituted in lieu thereof.
   The words “commissioner of streets and electricity” are stricken wherever the same appear in the said code and the words “commissioner of streets and sanitation” are substituted in lieu thereof.
