§ 137.08 UNLAWFUL DISCHARGE OF CERTAIN WEAPONS.
   (A)   No person, except law enforcement officers, agents or employees of this or any other political subdivision of the state or of the United States, acting under the scope of their duties, shall discharge any kind of firearm or dangerous weapon, including handguns, rifles, shotguns, air rifles, air guns, cannons, or explosive bombs from a mortar within the limits of the city, except in self-defense or the defense of others where deadly force is justifiable. Anyone who violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
   (B)   Nothing in this section shall be interpreted to prohibit the possession or transportation of weapons, that are legal to possess under federal and state law, and that are being carried or stored in conformity with state and federal law.
