(A) Beginning at the general election in November, 2001, and every four years thereafter, one member of council from each ward shall be chosen, which members shall serve for a term of four years commencing on the first day of January next after their election.
(B) Beginning at the general election in November, 2001, members of council at large shall be chosen who shall serve for a term of two years commencing on the first day of January next after their election. Beginning at the general election in November, 2003, and every four years thereafter, members of council at large shall be chosen who shall serve for a term of four years commencing on the first day of January next after their election.
