It shall be the duty of the county sheriff, or such other person as the town council may from time to time direct, to enforce the provisions of this chapter and, upon a determination that a violation of this chapter exists, shall ascertain the name and mailing address of the owner, owner's representative, contract purchaser or the occupant of the premises, and the description of the premises where the violation exists. The name and mailing address of the owner may be obtained from the current assessment list maintained by the office of the county assessor. (2014 Code)
