7-3-7: PROHIBITED ACTS, CONDITIONS:
   A.   Defacing Buildings, Property: No person in a park shall:
      1.   Wilfully mark, deface, disfigure, injure, tamper with or displace or remove any building, bridge, tables, benches, fireplaces, railings, paving or paving material, water lines or other public utilities or parts or appurtenances thereof, signs, notices or placards whether temporary or permanent, monuments, stakes, posts or other boundary markers, or other structures or equipment, facilities or park property or appurtenances whatsoever, either real or personal;
      2.   Fail to cooperate in maintaining restrooms and washrooms in a neat and sanitary condition. No person over the age of four (4) years shall use the restrooms and washrooms designated for the opposite sex;
      3.   Dig or remove any beach sand, whether submerged or not, or any soil, rock, stones, trees, shrubs, or plants, downed timber or other wood or materials, or make any excavation by tool, equipment, blasting or other means or agency;
      4.   Construct or erect any building or structure of whatever kind, whether permanent or temporary in character, or run or string any public service utility into, upon or across such lands except on permit to do so by the Commissioner as provided for in this Chapter.
   B.   Injury To Trees And Plants: No person in a park shall:
      1.   Damage, cut, carve, transplant or remove any tree or plant, or injure the bark or pick the flowers or seeds of any tree or plant;
      2.   Attach any rope, wire or other contrivance to any tree or plant;
      3.   Dig in or otherwise disturb grass areas, or in any other way injure or impair the natural beauty or usefulness of any area; (Ord. 193, 1984)
      4.   Climb any tree or light pole, or climb or sit upon monuments, vases, fountains, railing, fences, or upon any other property not designated or customarily used for such purposes; (Ord. 193, 1984; amd. 2000 Code)
      5.   Tie or hitch a horse or other animal to any tree or plant.
   C.   Hunting Or Disturbing Wild Animals Or Birds: No person in a park shall hunt, molest, harm, frighten, kill, trap, chase, tease, shoot or throw missiles at any animal, reptile, fish or bird; nor shall he remove or have in his possession the young of any wild animal, or the eggs or nests, or young of any reptile or bird; nor shall he collect, remove, have in his possession, give away, sell or offer to sell, or offer to buy, or accept as a gift, any specimen alive or dead of any of the group of animals, reptiles, fish or birds being kept in the parks or belonging thereto. This subsection does not prohibit fishing in such lakes and ponds at such times as are designated by the Commissioner.
   D.   Alcoholic Liquor Or Controlled Substances:
      1.   No person in a park shall drink, sell, possess, make a gift or offer for sale any alcoholic liquor or controlled substance within the park.
      2.   No person under the influence of alcoholic liquor or controlled substance shall enter or remain within the park, nor shall any person within the park use, administer, receive, offer for sale, possess or make available to himself or any other person or animal any alcoholic liquor or controlled substance.
   E.   Firearms, Fireworks, Weapons, Explosives And Missiles: No person in a park shall bring, have brought or have in his possession, or set off or otherwise cause to explode or discharge or burn, any firecrackers, torpedo, rocket, fireworks, firearms of any description, air or gas guns, pellet guns, slingshots or missile throwing or propelling devices, corrosive or volatile materials or explosives or highly inflammable material within the park or in any such areas from land or highway adjacent thereto without the specific written permit from the Commissioner, except park staff or park attendants or enforcement officers of the City or other authorized law enforcement officers while in the line of duty.
   F.   Loitering And Boisterousness:
      1.   No person in a park shall sleep on seats, or benches or engage in loud, boisterous, threatening, abusive, insulting, or indecent language, or engage in any disorderly conduct or behavior tending to a breach of the public peace.
      2.   No person shall disturb any picnic or other park activity or intrude himself or herself upon it without the consent of those participating in it. (Ord. 193, 1984)
