5-5-1: DEFINITIONS:
For purpose of this chapter, the following words, terms and phrases shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:
APIARY: A hive where bee colonies are kept.
BEES: The common honeybee Apis mellifera (L) in any state of its life cycle.
HIVE: A frame hive, box hive, box, barrel, log gum, skep or other receptacle or container, natural or artificial, or any part thereof, which is used or employed as a domicile for bees.
NUCLEUS: A standard nine and five-eighths inch (95/8") depth ten (10) frame hive body with no supers attached.
PARCEL OF LAND: Any separate parcel of real estate under the ownership, possession or control of a person or entity. If one entity or person has total or partial ownership or possession of adjoining parcels, the combination of such parcels will be considered one parcel of land. (Ord. 669, 7-28-2014)
