At the first regular meeting after receipt of the preliminary data the City Planning Commission shall cause such studies to be made as it may deem necessary to examine the proposed data for compliance with this code, with the Master Plan, and with sound engineering practice. Thereafter, and within not more than 30 days from the first regular meeting after data was presented, the City Planning Commission shall present the preliminary data to the City Council, together with its recommendations. The City Council shall approve or disapprove the data and the recommendations of the City Planning Commission and shall notify the subdivider of its action.
