(A) It shall be the duty of any police officer of the city to require any person seen peddling, and who is not known by such officer to be duly licensed, to produce his peddler's license and to enforce the provisions of this title against any person found to be violating the same.
(B) It shall be the duty of the police officers of the city to examine all places of business and persons in their respective territories subject to the provisions of this title to determine if this title has been complied with and to enforce the provisions of this title against any person found to be violating the same. Any person who signs an application for himself or herself or on behalf of any other entity, by the filing of a signed application with the City Clerk, hereby gives his or her consent to such examination of the business and persons.
(C) It shall be the duty of any police officer of the city to require any person seen soliciting or canvassing, and who is not known by such officer to be duly licensed, to produce his solicitor's or canvasser's license and to enforce the provisions of this title against any person found to be violating the same.
(D) The Chief of Police/Director of Public Safety shall report to the City Clerk all convictions for violation of this title and the City Clerk shall maintain a record for each license issued and record the reports of violation therein.
