§ 90.21  IMPOUNDING DOGS; DISPOSITION; RECORDS.
   (A)   It shall be the duty of the Department of Public Safety or dog warden to seize and impound any dog found anywhere in the city contrary to the provisions of this chapter. No dog so impounded shall be released to its owner or other authorized person without payment of a sum in an amount which shall be established by resolution of the City Council from time to time upon recommendation of the City Manager to the Department of Public Safety or dog warden for its care and maintenance and without procuring a license as herein provided. The Department of Public Safety or dog warden shall, upon impounding any dog, turn the animal over to the Humane Society or other appropriate facility.

   (B)   The Department of Public Safety or dog warden shall maintain a complete record of all dogs impounded under the provisions of this chapter and the disposition of same.
