It shall be unlawful for any person to own, maintain, keep or harbor any dog within the city without first procuring a license therefor as prescribed by state law. Application for a license shall be made to the City Clerk and shall state the breed, sex, age, color and markings of the dog, and the name and address of the applicant and the last known previous owner. The application shall be accompanied by a certificate of a licensed veterinarian showing that the dog has been vaccinated against rabies.
