§ 72.08  VIOLATION RECORDS.
   (A)   It shall be the duty of the Director of Public Safety, under the direction of the Council, to keep a record of all violations of this chapter.
   (B)   He or she shall keep an account of and report the number of each parking meter which indicates that the vehicle occupying the parking space adjacent to such parking meter is or has been parked in violation of any of the provisions of this code, the date and hour of such violation, the make and the state license number of such vehicle, and any other facts, a knowledge of which is necessary to a thorough understanding of the circumstances attending such violation.
   (C)   He or she shall attach to such vehicle a notice stating that it has been parked in violation of this code. The owner or operator of such vehicle may at any time within 24 hours after the time which such notice was attached to such vehicle, deposit an amount of money which shall be established by resolution of the City Council from time to time upon recommendation of the City Manager in the envelope provided for that purpose in any of the Fine-O-Meter boxes located through the parking meter area, in full payment for such violation. After the expiration of 24 hours from the time when such notice was attached to such vehicle, the owner or operator of such motor vehicle shall pay to the Parking Violations Bureau the sum prescribed in § 70.01.
