At a regular meeting of the Charter Commission of the City of Cheboygan held on the 11th day of April 1950, the following resolution was offered by Commissioner Lahaie:
RESOLVED, that the Charter Commission of the City of Cheboygan does hereby adopt the foregoing proposed charter for the City of Cheboygan, and the Clerk of this Commission is directed:
1. To transmit a copy of this charter to the Governor of the State of Michigan for his approval in accordance with the statutes of the state,
2. To this day file with the City Clerk a copy of this charter,
3. To have this proposed charter published in the Cheboygan Daily Tribune on May 29, 1950 and,
4. To arrange for the presentation of this charter to the electors of the City of Cheboygan on June 26, 1950, in accordance with the provisions of this charter and the state laws providing therefor.
The resolution was seconded by Commissioner Green, and adopted by the following vote:
YEAS: Commissioners Garfield Atchison, Walter B. Green, Robert Humphrey, Carl Leonall, Arthur Michelin, Archie E. Barnich, Charles Lahaie, Lewis E. Berry Sr., Lewis E. Berry Jr.
NAYS: None.
The Chairman declared the foregoing resolution unanimously and requested the members of the Charter Commission to authenticate said resolution and also the copies of the charter to be presented to the Governor and filed with the City Clerk by attesting their names thereto in the following manner:

All of the Commissioners having attested as to said resolution and also having attested the copies to be signed by the Governor and filed with the City Clerk, the meeting adjourned subject to the call of the chairman.
