Sec. 6.1.  PRIOR CITY ORDINANCES AND REGULATIONS.
   All ordinances, resolutions, rules and regulations of the City of Cheboygan which are not inconsistent with the provisions of this charter, in force and effect at the time of the adoption of this charter, shall continue in full force as ordinances, resolutions, rules, and regulations of the City of Cheboygan until repealed or amended by action of the proper authorities.
