Whenever the following words or terms are used in this Code, they shall have the meanings herein ascribed to them, unless the context makes such meaning repugnant thereto:
BOARD OF TRUSTEES: Unless otherwise indicated, the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Chebanse.
CODE: The Village Code of the Village of Chebanse.
COUNTY: The Counties of Kankakee and Iroquois, State of Illinois.
ILLINOIS COMPILED STATUTES (ILCS): The Illinois Compiled Statutes, the latest publication thereof.
PERSON: Any public or private corporation, firm, partnership, association, organization, government or any other group acting as a unit, as well as a natural person.
STATE: The State of Illinois.
VILLAGE: The Village of Chebanse, Counties of Kankakee and Iroquois, State of Illinois. (2019 Code)
