Emergency purchases not greater than two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) may be made in order to protect the life, health or safety of citizens. A joint decision between the Mayor and the respective Committee Chair, for which the purchase needs to be made, is needed to purchase emergency materials. Anyone authorized to make emergency purchases shall be required to submit a record of emergency purchases including receipts at the next Board meeting. All emergency purchases must be approved by the Village Board of Trustees as required by State law. (Ord. 12-06, 6-18-2012, eff. 6-18-2012; amd. 2019 Code)
