11-4-1: PROCEDURE:
A. At least ten (10) days before the regular Village Board of Trustees meeting, there shall be filed seven (7) copies of a preliminary plan for examination and subsequent recommendations for approval or disapproval. If the proposed plan of subdivision is not satisfactory as presented, the Village Board of Trustees may permit the subdivider to make the changes and additions required to meet the requirements of this chapter. If the plan of subdivision, as shown by the preliminary plan, is finally disapproved, the original plan shall be returned to the subdivider, with a written statement of reasons for such disapproval. If the proposed plan of subdivision, as shown by the preliminary plan, shall finally be approved, the original plat and one copy thereof shall be endorsed as follows:
Tentative approval by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Chebanse this       day of                , 20     .

The original copy of the plat so endorsed shall be filed with the Village Clerk. The other copy thereof shall be returned to the subdivider.
   B.   Within twelve (12) months after receiving tentative approval of the preliminary plat by the Village President and Board of Trustees, the original and seven (7) copies of the final plat shall be submitted by the developer for recommended final approval by the Village President and Board of Trustees. Tentative approval of the preliminary plat shall become null and void unless the final plat is submitted within the twelve (12) months as herein required.
   C.   Following final approval by the Village President and Board of Trustees, the final plat, as approved, may be legally recorded in compliance with the laws of the State. Approval of the final plat by the Village President and Board of Trustees shall be null and void if the plat is not recorded within ninety (90) days after the date of approval, unless application for extension of time is made in writing during said ninety (90) day period to the Village President and Board of Trustees and granted.
