9-4-3: INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT:
   A.   General Standards And Specifications: All installations or alterations of electrical equipment in any building or buildings and/or any area adjacent thereto and adjoining thereupon shall be made and done in accordance with the procedures, specifications, standards and materials defined and established by the 2014 edition of the National Electrical Code which is incorporated herein and by reference hereto made a part hereof, except where otherwise provided hereinafter.    B.   Specific Standards And Specifications:
      1.   All wires and apparatus installed, altered or used in buildings or parts of buildings used as a hotel, motel, lodging house, rooming house, clubhouse, home for the aged, home for children, jail, police station, hospital, department store, office building, school, apartment house with three (3) or more apartments, auditorium, place of worship, commercial building, factory, residential basement and mobile home shall be wired in standard conduit or metal raceway wiring.       2.   All residential homes shall be wired in conduit, BX, armored cable or romex with bonding wire.
      3.   All kitchens therein shall be wired with not less than no. 12 wire.
      4.   All basements therein shall be wired in conduit wire.
      5.   No service switches, cutouts or meters shall be installed therein in close proximity to laundry tubs, sinks, gas meters, radiators, stoves, furnaces, plumbing fixtures or other grounded surfaces.
      6.   All washing machines, clothes dryers or deep freeze units shall have a grounded receptacle. (1990 Code § 14.409)
