9-1-10: MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS:
   A.   Sidewalks: The use of any part of the sidewalk for steps or for open areas is prohibited. (1990 Code § 14.122)
   B.   Chimneys And Flues:
      1.   No joists or girders shall rest or be supported on walls of any chimney or flue, and the framing around same of all kinds shall be so constructed that in no case will any joists or timbers, etc., be placed nearer than one inch (1") from the outside face of walls of flues. (1990 Code § 14.123)
      2.   a. Wherever smoke flues six inches (6") or less in diameter pass through a wood or a plastered stud partition, they shall be surrounded by a ventilated thimble of metal or incombustible material.
         b.   Where a smoke flue of greater diameter than six inches (6") passes through a wood or plastered partition, it shall be surrounded by a body of brick, tile, porous terra cotta or other incombustible materials. (1990 Code § 14.124)
   C.   Concrete Slab Required For Unattached Buildings: Any outbuilding less than one hundred fifty (150) square feet or less than ten feet by fifteen feet (10' x 15') in size only requires three inches (3") of gravel base and skirting, and any larger outbuilding constructed within the Village shall have not less than a four inch (4") reinforced concrete slab with a rat barrier twelve inches (12") down and twelve inches (12") beyond said slab.
