9-1-5: STOP WORK ORDERS:
   A.   Whenever any work is being done in violation of the provisions of this chapter, or in variance with the terms of any permit issued for such work, the building inspector may order all work on the job stopped until and unless all violations or variances are eliminated and any work or installation made under the provisions hereof is corrected. Such stop order, if oral, shall be followed by a written stop order within twenty four (24) hours (excluding Saturdays, Sundays or holidays).
   B.   It shall be unlawful to do or perform any work in violation of such stop order, except as may be necessary to prevent injury or damage to persons or property. Such stop order may be revoked by the building inspector, the Village President or the Village Board of Trustees. (Ord. 03-10, 9-15-2003)
   C.   When such work has been stopped by order of the inspector, it shall not be resumed until the inspector shall be satisfied that adequate precautions have been taken for the protection of life and property and that the work will be done in conformity with the ordinances of the Village.
