1-1-3: AMENDMENTS:
   A.   Reference To And Updating Code: Any ordinance amending this Code shall set forth the title, chapter and section numbers of the section or sections to be amended, and this shall constitute sufficient compliance with any statutory requirement pertaining to the amendment or revision by ordinance of any part of this Code. All such amendments or revisions by ordinance shall be immediately forwarded to the codifier, and the said ordinance material shall be prepared for insertion in its proper place in each copy of this Code. Each such replacement page shall be properly identified and shall be inserted in each individual copy of this Code. (2019 Code)
   B.   Effect On Penalties: In case of the amendment of any section of this Code containing provisions for violation of which a penalty is provided in another section, the penalty so provided in such other section shall be held to relate to the section so amended or the amending section, whether reenacted in the amendatory ordinance or not, unless such penalty is specifically repealed therein.    C.   Publication And Recordkeeping:
      1.   Within a reasonable time after the passage of amendments or additions and at least once per year, the Village Clerk shall cause said amendments and additions to be printed, showing thereon the date of passage and shall insert the amendments and additions in their proper place in this Code.
      2.   These records shall be kept in addition to the record of ordinances which the Clerk is required to keep by statute. (1990 Code § 1.203; amd. 2019 Code)
