When the Corporate Authorities of the Village find that the width of a street under normal traffic conditions or other physical conditions connected with or affecting any street are such as to require it for public safety purposes or to avoid impeding the free flow of traffic, that may be resolved or other action duly entered upon in the minutes of their proceedings designating either side, or both sides, or any part of any public street as an area or areas where the parking of vehicles shall be prohibited or restricted, either at all times, on certain days or between certain hours of certain days, or of every day, as they may stipulate. Signs shall be erected and maintained giving notice thereof. (1990 Code § 12.301)
