A. Unwholesome Food:
1. No person, firm or corporation shall offer for sale, or keep for the purpose of selling or offering for sale, any food of any kind intended for human consumption which is spoiled or tainted or is unwholesome and unfit for human consumption for any reason. (1990 Code §§ 13.304, 13.401)
2. All tainted or unwholesome food intended for human consumption may be condemned by the appropriate Village official and shall thereupon be seized and destroyed by said official. (1990 Code § 13.304; amd. 2019 Code)
B. Adulterated Food: It shall be unlawful to sell, offer for sale, or keep for such purpose any food or drink intended for human consumption which has been adulterated by any material harmful in any way or which does not comply with this Code and/or State Statutes governing the same.
