§ 93.13 INVESTIGATION OF FIRES.
   (A)   The Fire Marshal's Office shall investigate the cause, origin and the circumstances of fires occurring in the county which are of a suspicious nature when requested by any fire department serving a County Fire District. The Fire Marshal's Office shall assist the fire departments in investigating the cause, origin and the circumstances of fires and explosions resulting in the loss of life within the county. The Fire Marshal's Office shall coordinate investigation activities with the fire departments having jurisdiction. The fire departments shall cooperate with the Fire Marshal's Office in the investigation of any fires in the county when requested. Any information pursuant to any investigation shall be confidential as authorized by law.
   (B)   The County Sheriff's Department upon the request of the Fire Marshal and/or his or her authorized representative may render assistance as necessary in the investigation of any fire determined to be of a suspicious cause.
