(A) The Department of Public Works shall be under the direction of the Director of Public Works.
(B) The Department shall be responsible for the construction, maintenance, improvement, and extension of the streets, alleys, public places, water system and facilities, the sewers, the sewage disposal facilities of the city, and such other services and facilities of the city as the City Manager shall direct with the approval of the Council.
