SECTION 3.7. SURETY BONDS.
   In order to protect the city and the public, the Council may require appropriate surety bonds of officers and employees. No bond shall be renewed upon its expiration. The premium of such bonds shall be paid by the city. Blanket bonds covering two or more officers or employees, or both, may be substituted for individual bonds. No bond shall be for a term exceeding three years, except that of the Municipal Judge, which shall be for the term for which he has been elected or appointed.
