§ 33.49 FUNERAL LEAVE.
   (A)   In cases of death in the immediate family: Spouse; child; other dependent; brother; sister; parents; grandparents; parents of the spouse; or any other person who is living in the employee’s household at the time of the dependent death for which the employee provided financial support. Any eligible employee may be granted funeral leave, upon the approval of the appointing authority. Funeral leave will be granted for attendance to funeral matters and will be paid absences; however, this leave shall not exceed three days.
   (B)   Additional absences in connection with the funeral of a non-immediate family member or friend may be excused without pay and shall be at the discretion of the appointing authority or may be charged against vacation or personal leave.
