(A) The provisions of the state’s House Enrolled Act 1005 (2012) prohibiting nepotism in the hiring of employees codified in I.C. 36-1-20.2 are adopted as the minimum standards for hiring new employees of the city on and after July 1, 2012.
(B) The provisions of the state’s House Enrolled Act 1005 (2012) prohibiting or the letting of certain contracts, codified in I.C. 36-1-20-1 et seq. are adopted as the minimum standards for eligibility for contracting with the city on and after July 1, 2012.
(C) To the extent that any ordinance, policy or practice of the city conflicts with the requirements of I.C. 36-1-20.2-1 et seq. or 36-1-20-1 et seq., that ordinance, policy or practice of the city shall be rescinded or discontinued.
