(A) Permanent reference monuments shall be installed at all subdivision survey control points, including:
(1) All points of change of direction of all boundary lines of the subdivision;
(2) The intersection of roadway property lines and subdivision boundary lines;
(3) Roadway property line tangent intersections, with radii of curves at roadway intersections;
(4) Points of curvature and points of tangency of all curves in roadways, alleys or rear property lines, where such lines are curves, or chords or subtangents of curves;
(5) All angle points in property lines of roadways or alleys where such points are not the central point of a curve; and
(6) All lot corners.
(B) Monuments shall be five-eighths-inch diameter steel rods at least 18 inches long, with a copper, aluminum or other non-corrosive cap. Monuments shall be set plumb and the top shall match the finish grade elevation. The cross on monuments shall coincide exactly with the intersection of the plat point being referenced, or points of tangency or curvature. One line of the cross shall be in alignment with at least one line of the subdivision line referenced.
(C) The surveyor or registered engineer shall submit a letter to the Commission stating that the points shown on the plat have actually been set in the field.
